Skiing & snowboarding

Perfectly groomed pistes (12km from Innsbruck) surrounded by an unspoilt and delightful natural world. A stunning, panoramic view over the Inn valley and across to the summit of the Nordkette with powder snow and plenty of sun − that's what the Glungezer ski area is famous for. Very popular with Alpine and ski touring enthusiasts.

The Glungezer can boast the longest descent in the Tyrol − it's more than 15km! Ski fans, both young and old, will derive great fun from the wintersports and the natural world. You'll find it hard not to resist a refreshments stop in one of the traditional mountain huts or at the cosy Alpenrestaurant Halsmarter.

But the mini-lift on the Vögelsberg with snow machines, evening skiing, and another lift system on the Wattenberg for younger guests, are also enticing draws.

The Glungezer ski area
The totally natural Glungezer ski area is situated 12 km from Innsbruck. Some 22 km of piste and a high altitude (950 - 2,304 m) mean excellent conditions for skiing or snowboarding until well into the spring.

The current piste panorama: Lifts and sections open
A skibus from Hall to Tulfes or Fritzens to Tulfes takes keen skiers and snowboarders straight to the Glungezer ski area. Holders of a guest card may use the skibus free of charge.
Get out on to the pistes at an early age − safely. Excellent instruction by skilled ski school staff.
Superior quality for every skier − ski hire to suit your requirements
Vögelsberg mini-lift system
Drawing wintersports enthusiasts to the Vögelsberg, a recreational area for the nearby town of Wattens at approx. 800m, are the snow-assured slopes, plenty of sun, fresh air and traditional hospitality.
Wildstätt mini-lift system
The Wildstätt lift on the Wattenberg is the favourite place in our region for last-minute wintersports fans … and with family-friendly prices.
