Wednesday market

Hall's Wednesday market is a popular meeting-place for food connoisseurs and quality-conscious shoppers. This is the place to come, if you want to stock up on fresh, regional food and also buy delicacies from South Tyrol and Italy. It's also a good place for craft products. As everything is home-made, the traders know about their produce and will be happy to provide extra information. But as well as that, Hall Old Town has a very special charm. There's that personal touch, it's where people help each other out … and having a chat with friends and fellow-shoppers is all part of the experience. Hall Old Town can look back on a centuries-old history as a market town. But nowadays, there's a certain sophistication and Mediterranean feel about the place.


Hall's restaurateurs are also keen to capitalise on the holiday mood. Every Wednesday many serve up specialities on the theme of "fresh fish and vegetables from the North Tyrolean Taste Region". 

Farmers' market

The Hall farmers' market held on the Oberer Stadtplatz is another weekly meeting place for foodies and connoisseurs of regional produce. Fresh vegetables and fruit, dairy products or home-made bread and marmalade − whatever grows in local fields and gardens can be tasted and purchased here every Saturday from 09.00 to 13.00.
